This adorable old fashioned children style apron is perfect for layering over a t-shirt and pants or skirt. The cute pixie hat pattern is included, as well.

(The look will be even more complete with The Sunday Best part 2, which will be available from July 16. That pattern contains a classic dress and long bloomers.)

Designed for Waldorf dolls, the pattern comes in two sizes, each in two lengths:

• Size 1: 36–39 cm (14 to 16 inches)

• Size 2: 39–43 cm (16 to 18 inches)

Due to the loose fit, this set is suitable for a wide range of doll proportions. In this case, for baby-type dolls, too.

• Printable PDF patterns for apron and pixie hat

• Measurements in metric, with inch conversions (in Dutch cm only)

• Seam allowances and hems included

Skill level: Advanced beginner
Basic sewing experience is recommended, but if you’re willing to experiment and learn through trial and error, this tutorial will guide you through.

Materials Needed (for one set):

• Non-stretch fabric (e.g., light to medium-weight linen or cotton poplin) – approx. 36 cm full width for the largest size, when both pieces are made of the same fabric.

• Optional a piece of jersey for lining the hat (36 x 15 cm).

• Machine sewing thread.

• 135 cm (60 and 75 cm) of cord (3–5 mm thick).
