Art doll - Bridie

Item 2 of 15
Overview

Bridie is a quiet but happy girl who loves to be outdoors. That you can see by the tiny freckles on her nose.

She is a 43 cm/17" tall natural fiber art doll.

She is fully pose-able (standing with a little support). In the core of her body and limbs is a wire armature, covered in wool and needle sculpted. Her ankles, knees, wrists, arms and neck can be bent. She can keep her arms up and even has a spine to give her a nice posture. She has a cute bum and a belly button :-)

I have made her out of interlock, doll jersey, in a sunkissed skin colour. All seams are double stitched. Her face is needle sculpted with clean white wool of extra quality. And around the armature is organic wool from Germany rolled and felted.

Her hair is made out of Blossom sheep locks and mohair yarn in natural white. This type of hair can felt itself when moved a lot, therefor it is not suitable to play with. It is best to leave her hair as it is, but it can be styled carefully. A little mohair brush is included.

Bridie will bring with her:

  • Her own little dolly filled with lavender. It makes her feel at home, wherever she will live.
  • Long bloomers and a singlet out of voile plumetis.
  • Pointelle jersey socks.
  • A wrap dress. Made of a recent Liberty flower fabric.
  • A baby cord coat, lined with Liberty fabric.
  • For mix and match, a T-shirt and tights made of stripy rib jersey.
  • And a little maintenance set, containing doll blush, tiny bobin pins and a small mohair brush.
  • Of course, woolen shoes  by Vaida Petreikis are included, as well.

NOTE:

This doll is too vulnerable for child play.
