This is a nice pattern to make, for makers of every level. It is not super difficult, but not as easy as it looks. If this is going to be your first homemade doll, I advice you, to read the tutorial well.
In this tutorial, I will also explain, how to give the face some extra profile and how to make the cute sleepy eyes.

This is what you need to make the doll:
-Doll tricot/interlock in skin colour, 24 x 30 cm.
-Single jersey for the suit and hat 60 x 32 cm. (for example Pointelle)
-Tubular gauze of 6 cm. wide, 30 cm long.
-Wool roving/stuffing wool, 50 grams (clean and carded in a fleece).
-Fabric scissors.
-A single felting needle and a holder for 4 or 5 needles. All needles fine or medium.
-Doll needle (9 cm. minimum length), a sewing needle, pins and a safety pin.
-Strong binding thread.
-Machine thread and strong hand sewing thread. Both in skin and clothing colour.
-DMC embroidery silk in mouth and in eye colour.
-An ecru woollen thread for the nose.
-Chopstick.
-Crochet hook (any size)
-Air soluble marker.
-A red beeswax crayon.
