Here you will find a range of Wild Mohair yarns for making doll's wigs.
These yarns are produced in the United Kingdom by Debbie Poole of Little Oke Dolls.
She has a lot of knowledge and experience and personally visits the spinners, to ensure that the fibres on the yarn are as long as possible. Because long hair, on the wig is what dollmakers want, right?
We have two kinds:
1) Wild Brushable Mohair (straight). This is suitable for crochet and knitting and then firmly brushing it out (needle thickness +/- 3.5 mm.). The result is straight hair. I prefer crochet, to get a fuller wig and you don't see the stitches.
2) Wild Large Loop Mohair (bouclé). This is suitable for crochet and knitting (needle thickness +/- 4.5mm.) The result is a curly wig, but you can also brush it out. This yarn works a lot faster, but gives slightly less hairs, than the straight mohair, when it is brushed out.
